Rachael has been walking my dog, Lola, for a couple of years whilst I am at work and she is always as happy to see her as to see me, so I know she feels safe and loved. She treats Lola as if she is her own and it’s obvious she understands and cares about her. Rachael has not missed any appointments during that time and it gives me peace of mind that I can get on with my day, knowing she is safe and happy.
Lola is a Bichon Frise and can be defensive if she feels intimidated by larger dogs. The group that she goes out with is carefully chosen, so that she is not overwhelmed and has doggy friends to play with. The WhatsApp texts and images of Lola playing and enjoying her walk make me smile. I would highly recommend Happy Dog Day Care to anyone who is looking for a safe and reliable service.

You can tell by our dogs reaction when they arrive that they love Rachael and Louise. Our dogs are often kept for the whole afternoon with no extra charge and walked in a group where they are obviously having so much fun and a lot of outdoor play time! We found HDDC through a recommendation from a friend and have never needed to use any other service. They are also flexible and often able to change their schedule to fit around busy days at short notice.

Although our dog Trev is a bit of a character and can be reactive at times, Rachael and Lou have always been able to work with him and there’s been an improvement in his behaviour around other dogs, so he’s now able to go out with the group walk, is socialized and also has recall (he’s a lab and can get carried away!). This has made our lives much easier and Trevor is calmer and happier.
I used another dog walker before and they were not able to let him off lead as he didn’t respond to their recall. Louise and Rachael had no problems with recall from the second walk and genuinely love our dog, treating him in a caring and compassionate way. We would recommend HDDC to anyone who has a pet that can be a bit challenging and needs someone with experience.
